Hello beloved readers! My name is Cristina and I am in charge of marketing at Crú Day Spa. I began working at Crú in May 2016, only 7 months ago, but I already feel like part of the family here. I have officially taken over the Crú Blog to share my thoughts and ideas on all things health and wealth, beauty, fashion, and anything you want to read about really! I am excited to interact with a group of readers and can’t wait to hear from you all. For our very first blog post I decided to look forward to the New Year. I don’t know about you, but I have never been a “New Years Resolution” type of person. I’ve always believed if you haven’t already done something you want to do or changed something you want to change, January 1st isn’t going to make a difference. Well, this year my mentality has changed a little. If we aren’t trying to better ourselves or lead more fulfilling lives, then what is the point?! When you think of a New Years Resolution, most people automatically think of dieting or going to the gym. In my opinion, there are many more (and enjoyable) ways of taking care of yourself! So where was the first place I turned to with my new found interest in New Years Resolutions? Pinterest, of course. I found so many creative ways to keep up with resolutions! Here are just a few:
New Years Lists
I am a huge list person. I LOOOVE lists. Something about writing down my goals makes it more official for me. Lists are great tools for clearly stating your daily, weekly and monthly goals. Find your favorite motivational or inspirational note pad and stick them on your fridge, or your desk at work as a reminder all year round. Just for fun, I’m going to share some of my resolutions for 2017 and a few resolutions Crú Day Spa can help you with!
My List of Resolutions
As you can see, I have quite a few resolutions on my sheet, some may be more difficult than others and some may be more fun than others. I actually can’t wait to stop putting myself last! As a wife and a mom of 2 little ones, I tend to take care of everyone else before I take care of myself, which usually means I don’t take care of myself at all. Sound familiar to all the moms out there? That may sound noble and all, but it’s actually not a good thing! In order to take care of my family the best I can, I have to be healthy and happy enough to do so. (Okay mommy rant over). So, one of the things I am super excited about is starting weekly Oxygen Infusion facials. Crú Day Spa is now one of the few spas in the Houston area to offer Oxygen Infusion Facials. I’ll be booking a treatment once a week and recording my experience and results to share with you all. I’ll be going into detail about some of the science behind how the Oxygen facial can take your skin from dry and dehydrated to looking years younger, as well as other benefits. But let me just tell you this: it is suppose to have immediate results AND it’s Madonna’s go-to skin treatment and secret to looking years younger. Many red carpet celebrities have sworn on this treatment. Like I said in my resolutions, your skin is going to represent you FOREVER. It is literally the first thing people notice when they meet you and usually the first thing that gives clues to your age. Why tell your age if you can keep people guessing instead? Another one of my fun resolutions, which kind of goes hand-in-hand with the first one, would be prioritizing ME time! This is key to taking care of yourself. Did you know that a 60-minute massage is about the same as 7-8 hours of sleep? This is always my go-to ME time when I need to disconnect from the world and recharge. The thing about getting time to yourself is it won’t happen unless you plan it. So, my plan is to choose a day of the month and make it my massage day. Maybe we’ll name it “Massages and Mimosa’s” day. One thing that can keep you on track is our very own Crú Club Membership! They have a super fun social media community with an Instagram page and girls from all over the world who join in on different challenges. The awesome thing about the community is that everyone starts on the same day so you get to go through the challenges together and therefore have thousands of accountability partners. Not to mention that you get the guide right away because it’s an E-Guide so it downloads directly to your computer or phone! I open mine up all the time when I want to pull up a quick recipe or work out. You should definitely check it out! They basically do all the work for you, except, you know…the actual working out.
In the next few weeks, I’ll be talking about some new massage and facial treatments we will be offering in 2017. Also, in a month I will be revealing my experience with the Oxygen Infusion facial treatment! So, whatever your resolution might be for 2017 make sure you make a plan and do whatever you have to do to make it happen. 2017 is YOUR year.
